what type of nephrons are present in humans
According to the position, nephrons are of two types: cortical nephron having its major part in cortex and juxtamedullary nephron with its major part in medulla.
Cortical nephrons are highly coiled nephrons and have short loop of Henle. Vasa recta are absent in these nephrons. Their glomerulus is located in outer cortex and Loop of Henle extends in medulla to a short distance.
Medullary nephrons have lesser coiling. Vasa recta are present in these nephrons. Their glomerulus is located in inner cortex and Loop of Henle extends in medulla to a larger distance.
