What was the impact of industrial society on the social life of the people ?

Dear student

Industrialisation transformed the social life of the people. Many structural changes were visible as the economy moved from agrarian to an industrialised economy. Factories started coming up and more and more people relocated to areas near the factories in search of work. Technological innovations were increasing impacting even the lives of the ordinary people. There was change in economic and political thought as well. Societies were now more complex as compared to the simple societies that existed before the industrial revolution.  With increase in production , people's ability to choose also increased. Economic laws now governed the relationship between people as everyone was dependent on the other for some service/ good.  It also raised issues about the quality of life of the people as the poorer sections came to be exploited by the factory owners or bourgeois class.
