 The main reasons for the rise of Buddhism an Jainism are-

  1. Only The Brahmins knew the holy language and the common people had to depend on them for interpretation.
  2. Wommen, Shudras and Kammakaras (landless labourers) were completely alienated from everything.
  3. The sacrifices performed were very complex and hard to undertstand.
