What was the major flaw in Tricki?

Mrs. Pumphrey kept feeding Tricki thinking that he was malnourished. Due to being overfed, Tricki became unwell and had bouts of vomiting. Mrs. Pumphrey, instead of finding out the real reason for Tricki's ill health, started giving him extra snacks like malt, cod-liver and Horlicks. Tricki was also fed cream cakes and chocolates. Instead of refusing to eat the extra food, Tricki gave in to the temptation of eating the cakes and snacks. All this worsened his health, Tricki's greed for chocolates and food was his major flaw.
