what was the policy of apartheid what were its major effects in south africa Long answer of subect english ch nelson  mandela

Dear Student,

Apartheid was the policy of racial segregation followed by the white regime of South Africa. As per the policy, the white race was considered as the superior race. All privileges were extended to the white people. The black people were considered inferior. Even basic human rights were denied to them. They were treated as slaves. The policy of apartheid resulted in the differentiation of people of South Africa on the basis of their skin colour. It was the gravest form of injustice that man can inflict on another man. However, under the leadership of Nelson Mandela, the blacks were able to dismantle the unjust policy of apartheid.
