what was the problem faced by the silk growers of jharkhand during 19th century?

1.The fine quality of Indian silk was highly demanded in Britain. As the market expanded, East India Company officials tried to encourage silk production.
2.The middlemen who arranged deals between the exporters and silk growers made huge profits whereas tribals were paid very meagre amount i.e. Rs 3 to Rs 4 for a thousand cocoons.
3.Thus many tribal groups saw the market and the traders as their main enemies.
