Chunilal used to study with Bepin Babu. He was having a rough time. He wanted Bepin Babu to arrange a job for him. Bepin Babu knew he couldn't do anything but Chunilal used to visit him frequently. At first Bepin Babu did not want to meet him but later on he changed his mind because he wanted to ask Chunilal about his visit to Ranchi. Chunilal confirmed Bepin Babu's visit to Ranchi and gave several instances to prove the same.

But Chunilal had tricked Bepin Babu. He wrote a letter to him stating that he had asked Bepin Babu to help him get a job as his financial condition was not good. But Bepin Babu was avoiding him. Now, when Chunilal's novel was getting published and he would be getting money for the same, he revealed the truth to Bepin Babu.
