What was the whole civics is about, kindly give me a quick recap of all chapters of civics.

Dear student,
Civics is that subject which deals with how people participate in governing society. The government is a means to address the problems or issues which the citizens face and this Civics study deals with all these political aspects of government, citizenship, duties, rights, responsibilities, etc.
In class 7, under Civics there are different chapters namely democracy, where the key features, the definition of democracy, Institutional Representation of Democracy are discussed. In the next chapter ‘state government’, its functionaries, are described. Besides, there are other chapters like understanding media, unpacking gender, and markets around us which are taught in class under civics subject.

At its best, civics and history is about providing students with a sense of time beyond the here and now. It's about ensuring that students have the skills and knowledge needed for meaningful participation in public life. It's about not only knowing your opportunities but your obligations as a citizen.
It includes the study of civil law and civil code, and the study of government with attention to the role of citizens―as opposed to external factors―in the operation and oversight of government.
these three components of the educational process – political knowledge, normative values and expected behaviors – will stand at the base of the aspects of civic education to be presented next.
