what was the young lady discussing to the young man
In this poem by Yeats, the woman is trying to tell the man that love me not for the ramparts or earrings I wear or for my yellow hair, but love me for myself. Because I can change my hair colour. The woman says that a man should love me for me alone for the person I am and for my soul and not for the way I look because looks are not permanent and can fade away with age.
