The changes introduced by the British in the education system of india were :
1.Primary schools were opened by the British government in various parts of India. A total of 42 schools were set up in 1842.
2.Emphasis was given on female education. Vocational education and teachers' training were also given importance in these British Schools.
3.People were forced to learn English language as their mother tongue in order to teach western literature and preach Christianity to the natives.
4.Education that was imparted in government schools were secular.
