What were the collective identifies by french people
Dear Student,
French people created a lot of common identities so as to enhance nationalism like le patrie which means the fatherland and le citoyen meaning the citizen. They created a constitution as per which every citizen enjoys equal rights. They also adapted a new tricolour flag that symbolised their unity and nationhood. With this Estate General was now called National Assembly and by name it refers an assembly of the whole common entity, that is nation.
