Monarchy-
They are made on the basis of heredity.
The state has all the power.
The king is the most powerful.
Republic-
People elect their leaders.
Power rest with the people.
These were the chiefs known as the ganapati.
Similarities-
1. Both of them had strong armies.
2. Both of them collected taxes
