The CT scan of the mummy from head to toe created 1,7000 digital X-ray images in cross section. Tut's head was scanned in 0.62 millimetre slices revealed the most intricate structures of his head in detail. Similarly,his entire body was also recorded leading to a team of radiology,forensics and anatomy specialists to probe the secrets of the young pharaoh. The images pulled up by a technician were astonishing as viewed on a computer screen, Tut's grey head began to take shape from a scattering of pixels and the technicians perused the image from every angle. Neck vertebrae appeared as clearly as in anatomy class with images of his hand, rib cage and a transection of the skull also coming to light. It was a relief  for the team to see that nothing had gone wrong during the procedure.
