What will be the answer of this and why? Please explain.

Dear Student,

Boiling point of a solution is inversely related to its vapour pressure. Greater the boiling point of the solution, lesser will be the vapour pressure.
Vapour pressure is the pressure exerted when the pressure leaves the surface and boiling point is the temperature t which vapour pressure of the solution becomes equal the atmospheric pressure. Now, if vapour pressure is greater, then it will soon become equal to the atmospheric pressure and the boiling point will be attained at low temperatures. If vapour pressure is low, then it will take time to become equal to atmospheric pressure and consequently, boiling point will increase.
Since order of boiling point is C > B > A
Therefore, order of vapour pressure will be A > B > C
Hence, the correct option is  a)

  • 0
vapour pressure:C>B>A
