What will be the direction of movement of water , when a solution A having water potential of - 9 bars and another solution B - 4 bars is separated by a semipermeable membrane?and WHy?

The values provided by you in the question are quite confusing, If water potential (W.P) of A= -9 bars & W.P of B =- 4 bars then, the movement of water takes place from region of high water potential to lower water potential i.e from B to A. 

If W.P of  A = 9 bars & B = 4 bars then, movement of water takes place from A to B. 

Reasons- If two solutions are separated by a semi permeable membrane the movement of water takes place from low solute concentration to high solute concentration due to osmosis or vice versa.
