What would happen if industrial effluent were discharged into wetlands

Dear student,
Industrial waste is rich in toxic chemicals. It carries many heavy metals and organic compounds. Industrial waste also have toxins like arsenic, lead and fluorides. So, release of industrial waste into wetlands would cause water pollution and would harm the aquatic life.

If the wastewater is mixed with these bodies the aquatic life will be put in danger and some of these water bodies are rivers ponds lakes etc          which are a main source of water for humans and we will also suffer the cause therefore these are the causes/side effects caused by  effluent water discharging.
