What would happened if there had been no atmosphere on the earth?

If there is no atmosphere then there would be no life as there will be no blanket of oxygen. 
Oxygen is an important constituent gas of atmosphere. 
Similarly no carbon dioxide will be there. Plant won't be able to survive. 
In all no existing life would be there.
