Whats the meaning of double equatorial plate and does its related to metaphase

The plane located midway between the poles of a dividing cell during the metaphase stage of mitosis or meiosis and formed from the migration of the chromosomes to the spindle's centre. It is basically the imaginary line between in the centre of the cell which divides it into two.
This is found in both meiosis and mitosis during metaphase stage.
There is only one equatorial plate. It's not double equatorial plate.
