When a 4 ohm resistor is connected across the terminals of a 2 V battery, the number of coulombs passing through the resistor per second is?

Dear student,
Current I is the rate at which charge moves through an area A, such as the cross-section of a wire.
Coulombs passing through the resistor per second is current itself
so I = qt
I =VR=24=0.5A
