when an AC source is connected across a capacitor current starts flowing through the circuit. show how ampere circuital law is generalized to explain the flow of current through the capacitor.Hence Octane the expression for the displacement of current inside the capacitor

Hope this helps...

When AC source is given across a circuit with a capacitor fixed in between, there is a logical inconsistency. To overcome this limitation, Maxwell introduced a new term to Ampere's circuital law, ie,Displacement current.

B=u0 x (Displacement current + Conduction Current)

where, displacement current= epsilon0 x d/dt(magnetic flux)
