When and why did the maharaja decided to get married ?

Dear student,

Thirty tigers still remained to be shot down and the tiger population in the Maharaja's state had been wiped out. The Maharaja wanted the statistics of the tiger populations to be drawn up in the neighbouring states. Then investigations would have to be carried out to see if there was a girl from the royal family of a state with a large tiger population. Once, the right girl from a state which possessed a large number of tigers was found, the marriage would be solemnized. The king did not seem to have paid much attention to his wife, his marriage had been an alliance formed to fulfil his objective of killing a hundred tigers and that is what he devoted his attention to. He married, not out of love, but to have more tigers to kill by forming an alliance with a neighbouring kingdom which had a considerable tiger population.
