• The Tripartite Pact was signed on the 27th of September 1940 in Berlin, Germany.
• It was also called as 'Three-Power Pact', 'Axis Pact', 'Berlin Pact' or even as 'Three-Way Pact'.
• It was signed between the 3 countries: Germany, Italy, and Japan. 
• The pact was signed to support one another against attack from the enemy country even though they may not be involved in the war at the time. This was mainly to stay safe from the United States.
