When did the Civil Disobedience movement first triumph in India?

Pls ans this question urgently with reference to the chapter 'Indigo'

Dear student,

As the lawyers withdrew to consult over the case of the injustice meted out to the sharecroppers, the thought amongst them was that Gandhi was a total stranger and yet he was prepared to go to prison for the peasants. They thought that if they (being not only residents of the adjoining districts but also those who claimed to serve the peasants) went home, then it would be a shameful desertion. Accordingly, they went back to Gandhi and told him that they were also ready to follow him into jail. The battle of Champaran had thus succeeded in 1917. Gandhi then took a piece of paper and divided the group into pairs and put down the order in which each pair was to court arrest. Several days later, Gandhi received a written communication from the magistrate informing him that the Lieutenant-Governor of the province had ordered the case to be dropped because civil disobedience had triumphed for the first time in modern India.
