When does the poet find his lost childhood, how does he get it back?

The poet can once again perceive his childhood when he sees and understands the innocence inherent in children. Since he is an adult now, most of the simple thought he had as a child are nothing more than a distant memory. Social interactions, awareness of his ego, realization of his individuality all resulted in the loss of his childhood simplicity. However, at the end of the poem he realizes that he can once again feel that innocence when he realizes its existence in other children and commits to their simplicity.
