when gas becomes more compressible/liquefable at more or less a,b (vanderwalls constant) also at z>/<1

Dear Student,

Gas is more liquifiable or compressible when Z<1. This is called negative deviation.
The higher the value of a, the greater the attraction between molecules and the more easily the gas can be compressed.
The value of b effects slightly, however, higher the value of b, greater is the liquifaction.
