आज के समय में लड़का लड़की एक सामान है। आज अगर कोई ये मानता है की लड़की कुछ नही कर सकती और लड़का सब कुछ कर सकता है तो वो इंसान बिलकुल गलत है।

आज का समय पहले की तरह नही जहाँ लड़कियों को सिर्फ घर का काम और बच्चो को संभालने की जिमेदारी दी जाती थी और ये माना जाता था की इसके इलावा लड़कियां और कुछ नही कर सकती। अब वो युग है जहाँ लड़कियां लड़को के कंधे से कन्धा मिला के काम करती है।

अब सरकार और समाज ने दोनों को बराबरी का दर्जा दिया है। सभी क्षैत्रों में लड़का-लड़की दोनों सामान तरक्क़ी कर रहे है। कल्पना चावला, इंदिरा गांधी जैसी कई औरतों ने साबित किया है की दोनों में कोई भेदभाव नहीं है। इंजीनियरिंग , डॉक्टर, वकील ,चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट आदि सभी महत्पूर्ण पेशो में लड़कियां बराबरी से अपना नाम रोशन कर रही हैं। आगे भविष्य में भी लड़का और लड़की दोनों समानता से विश्व में मानव जाति के विकास में योगदान देंगे।

लेकिन अभी भी कई इलाके ऐसे है जहाँ लड़कियों के साथ भेदभाव किया जाता है और उन्हें जनम से पहले ही मार दिया जाता है। हमे ऐसे लोगो को जागरूक करने के लिए ठोस कदम उठाने चाहिए ताकि वो इस बात को समाज सके की लड़का लड़की दोनों एक सामान है।
