When we add acid or base in water it evolves so much heat. Does it involve any chemical change?

Solution:

If any reaction occurs then it is known as a chemical change and in the above condition with the addition of acid or base in the water there will occur some sort of reaction and that leads to the release of heat as a byproduct. Hence, this is considered a chemical change.
