when we put drop of water in silk cloth why it became ,mark of water?
1. Silk is made of long amino acid chains linked together by H2N-CO- bonds.
2. Both N and O here are capable of forming H-bonds and when we accidently spill water on silk cloth, water molecules get absorbed over it and form H-bonds.
3. Due to this, absorbtion over the surface, there is formation of stain.
