Whenever molten metallic chloride is electrolysed Platinum anode are not used

Both are different questions and the answer is that metallic chloride in  molten state consists of free mobile ions so it gets easily electrolysed and platinum anode is not used because the gases released at anode may react with it at a high temperature.
