Where do we show dividend paid in financial statements?

Hi Riya,

Dividend paid is shown under the main head 'Expenses' and sub-head 'Finance cost' in the Statement of Profit and Loss.

less dividend paid in financing activity 
add non cash and non operating expenses in operating activities
(except in case of financing companies)

Less from financing activities and add while calculating profit before interest and tax and extra ordinary item.
