to plot the inequalities such as x + y > 3.....(1) or 2x-3y < 5......(2)

to plot the region (1) first we will draw the straight line x + y = 3.

then check it for origin, i.e. x = 0 and y =0 

here for origin x + y = 0 which is less than 3. thus origin does not satisfy the inequality.

thus the region which does not contain origin will satisfy the inequality.

therefore the shaded region is the required region which satisfy (1).

similarly to plot the region (2):

we will draw the line 2x-3y = 5.

and for origin 2x-3y = 2*0 - 3*0 = 0

which is less than 5 . thus origin will lie in the required region.
