Which category of classification do eubacteria and archaebacteria fall under?Do they belong to Kingdom Monera or are they kingdoms themselves?

Dear Student, Archaebacteria and Eubacteria both belong to different kingdoms according to the latest classification given by Carl Woese in 1977. Archaebacteria are the ancient bacteria found in extremes of environment while Eubacteria are the true bacteria found everywhere. Archaebacteria can be divided into Methanogens, Halophiles and Thermophiles while Eubacteria are mainly divided into Gram positive and gram negative. Regards
