Which cell organelles are involved in turning green tomatoes to red ?

Dear student Green tomatoes contain pigment called chloroplasts. Chloroplasts in the tomato fruit then mature into pigments that produce chromoplasts. Chromoplasts are of deep red colour and contain lycopene crystals. As the chloroplast mature during the ripening process it is possible to derive lycopene crystals present within the Lumina or inner space of membrane sacs. Regards

PLASTIDS..

THEY ARE SUCH CELL ORGANELLE WHICH GIVES COLOUR ..

FOR THIS THEY HAVE CHROMOPLASTS AND CHLOROPLASTS IN THEIR CELL.
IN PLANTS , THE LEAVES TURN INTO GREEN DUE TO CHROMOPLASTS..
Hope this helps
