Which coefficient of correlation is better? Why?

Karl Pearson’s coefficient of correlation is better than rank correlation coefficient because Karl Pearson’s coefficient uses full set of information and the rank correlation coefficient uses ranks instead of the full set of observations that leads to some loss of information.
