Which fundamental particle is equal in number in Mg²⁺ and Al³⁺ ions?

obviously electrons because the total no of electrons in both the ions is 10 as  Mg has 12 protons and 12 electrons but Mg²⁺ has 12 protons and 10 electrons and has gained 2+ charge by losing its 2 electrons while Al has 13 protons and 13 electrons but Al³⁺ has 13 protons and 10 electrons and has  gained 3+ charge by losing its 3 electrons.so obviously both have same no of  electrons ie 10.
