which is the modification of phase of spermatogenesis

Dear Student,

Your question is not clear and it seems that you want to ask about the different phase/stages of spermatogenesis.

Spermatogenesis is the process of formation of sperm within the seminiferous tubules with half the number of chromosomes as somatic cells. This process of spermatogenesis can be divided into three stages :

1Spermatocytogenesis - is the formation of male spermatocytes a type of male gametocyte. It begins with -
  • Proliferation of male Primordial germ cells from where spermatogonia originates.
  • The diploid spermatogonia then mitotically divide an differentiated inside testes into primary spermatocytes.
  • Each primary spermatocytes subsequently undergoes meiotic division I to produce two haploid secondary spermatocytes which will later divide once more into haploid spermatids.

2Spermatidogenesis - where the secondary spermatocytes produced earlier undergoes meiosis II and produce haploid spermatids.

3Spermiogenesis - is the final stage of spermatogenesis which involves the transformation of spermatids into mature, motile spermatozoa. During this process spermatids begin to form a tail and differentiates into mature sperm.

Spermatogenesis: the process by which stem cells develop into mature spermatozoa. There are three phases: (1) Spermatocytogenesis (Mitosis), (2) Meiosis, and (3) Spermiogenesis........
