Which need is dominant in adolescents who are looking for new books to read, trying to be part of many workshops and always ask high- level questions in class?

Need for curiousity and exploration if they go for reading any kind of book without any specific goal for it.
but on the other side it could be need for achievement too if a person is focusing on a particular thing. like reading everything related to psychology or any other to get good marks or to show their calibor.
