Which nomenclature is not according to IUPAC system?
Options:

2–Methyl–3–phenylpentane

3–Ethyl-4, 4-dimethylheptane

CH ≡ C – CH = CH – CH3
Pent-3-en-1-yne

CH2= CH – C ≡ CH
Bnt-1-yne-3-ene

Dear student,

The correct option is (4) that is but-1-yne-3-ene.
The correct IUPAC name of this compound is but-1-ene-3-yne, this is because whenever double and triple bonds is present in a compound the first preference is given to double bond which means that the naming of the compound is done in such a way that the carbon with double bond gets lowest number.
