Which number is smallest 0.27 or 0.018

Comparing between 0.27 and 0.018

As 
0.27
=$\frac{27}{100}$
and 
0.018
=$\frac{18}{1000}$

as denominator of both are not same,
now LCM of 100 and 1000 is 1000
​​​​
So,
$0.27=\frac{27}{100}=\frac{27}{100}\times \frac{10}{10} = \frac{270}{1000}$
$0.018=\frac{18}{1000}$

Now as denominator of both are same,

Now we can compare numerator.
as in 27 and 18
27>18
so,$\frac{27}{1000}>\frac{18}{1000}$
$0.27>0.018$
