Hence, a square possesses all characteristics of a rhombus .So it's correct. Similarly in (3) statement If in a rectangle, adjacent sides are equal, then it is called a square so it is also correct. And 4th statement is also correct. So here only statement 2 is false because The diagonals of a square divide the whole square into four equal parts i.e four congruent triangles. Hope it helps.
