Which part of the plant converts glucose into starch? Is it the Leaves?

Dear Student

Plants make glucose by the process of photosynthesis. The glucose produced is later on stored in the form of starch. Starch formation also takes place in the leaves of the plant.
Plants do not convert all the glucose into starch. Plants only stores the surplus glucose in the form starch, so that it can use the starch as and when required, to fulfil its basic requirements. So whenever plants need more energy they convert starch back into glucose and use it.
