The principles followed by Cooperative society are:
1) One Man, One Vote: every member of society is given one vote irrespective of contribution towards the number of shares held.
2) Service Motive: The primary aim of members of society is to serve the members of society.
3) Autonomy: Society is a self governing institution. It is self-sufficient, self-controlling.
4) Democratic management: the management of society is done of democratic basis.
