which tissue is responsible for conduction of food and water in plants? I know the answer is vascular tissue .. but the question is.. Write their components?? is it the Xylem and Phloem or their divisions?? experts please reply fast its urgent!!!!

Xylem and phloem are the two types of vascular tissues.
Xylem is a type of transport tissue in vascular plants which transports water and soluble mineral nutrients from the roots of the plant to its various parts like leaves, stems etc. The main function of xylem is to transport water from the roots to the various parts of the plant which is necessary for the proper functioning of the plant.
Phloem is one of the types of vascular tissues present in plants which transport various inorganic nutrients and sugars such as sucrose to different parts of the plant body. The main function of phloem is to transport nutrients and sap (a water based solution rich in sugar content) from one part of the plant to another which is essential for the growth and maintenance of the plant.

The conduction of water and minerals is associated with xylem, but the phloem conducts prepared food by plants as a result of photosynthesis to other various parts of the plant as well as conducts water to various parts of plant. The xylem can conduct water and minerals from root to leaves in vertically upward direction whereas phloem can conduct water and minerals in both vertically upward and downward direction. Thus, answer is phloes
