Which type of change is stretching of a spring

Dear Student,

Basically, a spring is simply a springy wire that has certain type of elasticity in it. Therefore, there is no physical change in that wire if it is stretched within the fatigue limits of that wire. But If one stretches it beyond its elastic limit, there would be a physical change in the metal (spring).
