Which type of inflorescence shows an unlimited growth and why

Dear Student, 

Racemose inflorescence shows unlimited growth.
It is because, arrangement of flowers is such that young flower is present near the apex and older towards the base, i.e., in acropetal succession. So, in this case the growing point does not stop the growth and forms continuously the lateral flowers.
