Who is Dr. Kemp? What is his relation with the invisible man ? 

Dr Kemp is a scientist and philosopher. He knows Griffin from his early days, as his colleague,at the University. Griffin reveals the secret of his invisibility to Kemp, hoping for his approval and support in carrying out his 'Reign of Terror'. Instead, Kemp tells about his evil plan to the police and is responsible for his eventual death. his character is a foil to Griffin: he is more interested in speculation whereas Griffin is more interested in action; he is docile and decent, Griffin is aggressive and dishonest.
