Who was Georges Danton ?? Explain his ideal......

Georges Danton was an important figure in the French Revolution. He was known for his radical anti-monarchical views. He wished to overthrow the monarchy and establish France as a republic. Following the execution of King Louis XVI, he became the first president of the Committee of Public Safety.  He started the reign of terror against the members of the French aristocracy and was responsible condemning many to death at the guillotine.
