who was rani lakshmi bai?

  Lakshmi Bai was a geat daughter of India.She was born on november13,1835 to Morapant and Bhagirathi.As a child she was called Manu. Manu grew up with Bajirao  Peshwa's son Nana Saib.She got training as a soldier with him.At a early age she was married to Gangadhar Rao, the rler of Jhansi.When Gangadhar died,she started ruling the kingdom.She adopted Damodar Rao as her son.She fought the first war of british. She fought bravely without worrying about her life.When it became obvious that she would be killed,she killed herself rather tan falling in the hands of the british.
