Who was Raziya sultan? why was she removed from the throne? was this act correct?

Razia Sultan was the only woman ruler in both the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal era. She was the daughter of Iltutmish and belonged to the Slave/Mamluk Dynasty. Razia was a very good administrator who kept all nobles in check. Under her, the Delhi Sultanate prosperred. She also strengthened the northwest frontiers against the invading Mongols.

Unfortunately, Turkish nobles were not happy under the rule of a woman. They did not want to obey the orders of Razia and hence plotted against her. Razia escaped as a refugee but was killed.

This act of assasination was not correct at all, because Razia being a good ruler,the country would have flourished. It wasn't right of the nobles to discriminate against her on the basis of gender.
