Dear student,
60% sugar Mills are located in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar because
of the following reasons:-
1) Bihar and Uttar Pradesh both are the major sugarcane grown
areas, thus sugarcane mills are seen in these states only
2) Bihar and Uttar Pradesh provide cheap labour to the
industries as most of the people are seen unemployed in these
regions
3) Also after 48 hours, from the harvest the sucrose content
in the sugarcane starts loosing, thus to save them from this loss
they are situated near the agricultural fields
